AFORGE LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based out of Lorton, Virgina. We are seeking someone to join our team as a part-time Information Technology (IT) Logistics Technician on-site at our secure warehouse. This role supports an active technology-focused government contract, and offers hands-on exposure to cutting edge technology and logistics operations, working alongside our advanced manufacturing and engineering teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in IT, logistics, or government contracting. After a probationary period, employees may have the opportunity to obtain a National Security Clearance, along with OSHA safety and operations certifications, and gain real world experience in a high-tech environment. We’re seeking a dependable, detail oriented, individual with the ability to multitask. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening. Flexible daytime hours are available from 7:30 a.m to 7:30 p.m.



Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, sort, pack and label materials and supplies to be shipped.
  •  Accurately pull, pack, and prepare shipments for UPS, FedEx, and Freight pallets.
  • Load and unload trucks, verify shipments, complete receiving documentation, move materials into proper storage areas.
  • Maintain a log of all received materials and update records of appropriate inventory management systems.
  • Provide reports of materials received and warehouse inventory items.
  • Adhere to safety and security requirements.
  • Perform general and preventative maintenance of warehouse items and equipment.
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned.
Required Skillsets and Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while effectively multitasking and following evolving procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Must be United States citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must have valid Driver License and ability to obtain OSHA certifications.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
  • Knowledge of general IT principles and systems.
