Program Control Analyst: AFORGE is seeking a remote Program Control Analyst to join our internal team.



Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update program budgets, spend plans, forecasts, and estimates-at-completion (EACs) to support program financial health.
  • Reconcile and analyze charges and generate customer invoices in accordance with the terms of client’s contracts and grants, using the government accounting software.
  • Validate and analyze revenue and unbilled amounts on a monthly basis.
  • Provides relevant contract related financial information to executive management team.
  • Harmonize and analyze revenue to process final contract closeout.
  • Support proposal pricing, narrative development, and basis-of-estimate creation for new business efforts.
  • Conducts periodic audits of budget items, including comparing per diems to actual expenses and other budget-to-actual comparisons.
  • Support external and internal stakeholders through ad-hoc data collection, reporting, analysis and special projects.
  • Working cross functionally with the business development and accounting teams.
  • Maintain direct communications with sponsors and internal customers including program financial management staff regarding various expenses for billing and financial reporting purposes.
  • Assist with collection activity and resolution of invoices
  • Perform general ledger account analysis to support accounting month end close process.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.
Required Skillsets and Qualifications:
  • Ability to create and manage corporate and project level budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide accounting services as detailed in program documents.
  • Excellent managerial skills.
  • Experience working program control as both a sub and prime contractor.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in government contracting, FAR Cost Principles, and CAS; DFARS business system audits.
  • Solid background using Unanet.
  • Proficient in accounting software and platforms such as Sharepoint, Teams, and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
  • Six years of experience required.
